D7000 shuts of for no reason

My D7000 has started to shut off for no apparent reason. Sometimes turning the on/off switch to off and then back on fixes it, sometimes it doesn't. I have updated the firmware, changed out the memory cards and removed the battery (overnight) - nothing has helped. There seems to be no pattern to it. It might work fine for weeks, then not work at all for a few days ... mostly it is just intermittent - working, not working, working again all within a single day of shooting.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Anyone else had this problem?

Welcome to the forum.
It might be a battery problem Even if it is fully charged it still might not be giving you full voltage. Try another battery.
