I'm already seeing body only refurbs going for about $50-$100 less than I did a couple months ago:

hello and welcome, i bought one of these last year, still loving it

I got mine new from Adorama earlier this year with a lens and extras. It saved me some since I would have paid more if buying the lens separately as well as an extra battery. It was here in two days. Not to mention I saved paying the taxes.

You really need to at least consider the Refurb form Cameta that JDEG listed. I bought my D5100 form them and more recently I bought a D7000 from them and both were refurbs. I also bought a 18-105 refurb zoom from them. I have not regretted any of my purchases.

I remember when Best Buy had a D5100 AND the 18-200mm lens brand new for $599 or something ridiculous like that, bought 2, kept the lens and sold everything else on eBay right away and made some money. They removed the "sale" pretty quick

There are already quite a few D7000 with 18-140mm kits on ebay...

Refurbished D7000 bodies are on ebay from Adorama right now for $559.

They sold out yesterday so I thought it was gone forever, but it came back so I made the decision to get it before it disappeared again. I can't wait til it arrives!!!
