Re: D600/D610 photos
the D600 is pretty new to me. when I put the first images in the computer, firt thing I noticed (but wasnt exactly certain if what I was seeing was correct) was the resolving power compared to my D3. it looks as if the image had gone through heavy sharpening.
when I shoot a wedding, its the camera I shoot family formals with because I have so much detail I can crop a bit if I need to. its the camera I try to use with my rokinon DX fisheye lens because even at 10mp, it can hold a lot of detail. the D3 can do everything else though.
AF is not as great and its speed on the whole is meh. meaning, time it takes for it to react. the D3 is lightning quick. from the time I press the shutter down till it starts doing the process is very long and when ur shooting for so long, you can definitely feel it, even if were only talking MS differences. the D3 gives you confidence to use vs the "wimpy" feel and sound of the D600. the D3 is a monster in rage mode and the D600 is..not. its an ok camera. dont like the colors I get with it as I do with the D3 though.
all in all an ok camera, but will upgrade when I can. but more so when nikon offers something good. problem is the D800 is not a great upgrade with 4fps and those huge files. im having a hard time adjusting with 24mp, et alone 36. and I want something with great video quality. the D3s does only 720p. ATM there isnt much choice. and I dont believe in tossing $6000 for a camera. forget that. the D600 was the logical choice for now. future may have something better. hate the fact they disabled aperture adjustment in live view mode. idiots.
