I was mislead into buying my first one which was gray market and as I flipped through the tiny instruction manual the pages commenced to fall out. Something didn't seem right. Also I heard you can't get firmware updates and Nikon won't repair them in the US. This is what I heard. I have since sent mine back and got a refund and bought a USA version. Actually comes w/ warranty card , heavy duty manual and a piece of mind. There will be a(U) above the product code on the box if it is a USA model. Great camera far...

i agree with shootraw, there is a reason why it is going so cheap!
i am sure in coming months refurb D600 would be a thousand only before it will be completely off the market.

My 600 was grey market, too. I've updated firmware once, no problem. I also picked up a 5 year warranty with it because I knew that nikon usa wouldn't service it. Camera has been working great for me.
