I did some work for a hospital here in Topeka and the magazine/newsletter I shot for was finally released and I got to see my name captioned at the bottom. I signed a 1yr contract with them to take photos of the events around the hospital. I just thought I would share that and I am extremely excited because I love shooting events and things like that. Thank for reading that's all.....

The link to the newsletter is posted up top couldn't get it to move to the end of the post sorry.

Thanks

Great photo! I have started shooting a lot of events for my work and recently learned that too much flash annoys people. I asked a pro photographer how he was shooting without flash (besides the obvious L lens he was using) and he suggested bumping up the ISO as high as my camera will go (D600, it goes pretty high without adding grain) as the newspaper publishes the photos in low res so grain won't show as much.

Learn something new every day they say.

So all that to ask, do you use flash for your indoor shots?

That is good advice I was using my SB700 with diffuser bouncing off ceiling. I didn't even want to chance the noise issue even though I am pretty confident I could PP it out. Anyhow I will try some next event I am assigned to.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, it means a lot coming from fellow photographers!!! Thanks
