D3000 Lenses on D5300

I’m considering a D5300 so I can shoot video. Will my 3000 lenses work on the 5300?

Yes... Nikon, as far as I know, doesn't make camera specific lenses. They just make lenses that fit their cameras. Some features may/may not work on ALL cameras, but that's a camera limitation and NOT a lens limitation.

What Fred said. Also, you can download the D5300 manual at the Nikon website and check compatibility.

I would also suggest you take a look at the D7200, rather than the D5300.
