Framing grid for video.

Does some kind soul know how to get the grid onto the screen for video? I find reference to it in one handbook I have, but when I follow the instruction, I simply go from this screen to that screen and back again.
On the rare occasions I have tried video, I find it difficult to keep the camera straight.
Any help would be most welcome.

I'm slowly coming around to my own opinion that the D750 is a DSLR still camera first and a poor second as an operational movie camera, but it can produce high quality movie sequences. In answer to your question there is a solution:

Enable the grid in the camera menu so you see it through the optical viewfinder.

Then switch to Movie Mode/ Live View (LV) and hit the 'info button' . That will cycle you through the various on screen display options including a grid. All is not perfect, because you can't have the grid with sound bars, but the zebra white clip still works.

I do have the movie Record/Stop control set for the red top button and not through the shutter release and my grid stays put.
