Got my new D5200 today and I need a bit of help with one thing.

I can not get the LCD screen to display the scene before I go to take the picture,I have the Lens button in the A Postition for automatic and I tried different positions on the knob but that did not work.

I had the LCD screen displaying before but don't ask me how I did it.

Please help.

Most likley you had the camera set to live view.

Little switch next to the dial on top , slide to LV , live view

Btw the a position is not automatic but aperture priority. The d5200 has auto too
