yeah I know, it's always something. Well at least I learned from my flash problem what I should be checking for first before coming here and taking up your time. I have much gratitude for all the responses I got for that. You're a great bunch of guys and gals.
This time it's bracketing. As per manual:1 Choose a bracketing option.After pressing G to display the menus, highlight Custom Setting e2 (Auto bracketing set) and press 2.
The options shown at right will be displayed. Highlight the desired bracketing type and press J.
2 Place the cursor in the information display. If shooting information is not displayed in the monitor, press the i button. Press the
i button again to place the cursor in the information display.
Option Description AE bracketing
Vary exposure over a series of three photographs.
Shot 1: unmodified Shot 2: exposure reduced Shot 3: exposure increased
WB
bracketing
Each time the shutter is released, the camera creates three images, each with a
different white balance. Not available with image qualities of NEF (RAW).
ADL
bracketing
Take one photo with Active D-Lighting off, and another at the current Active
D-Lighting setting.
G button

Well that didn't transfer at all well. Just trust that I followed the manual to the letter, and when I shot it just took one exposure. So I re-read and re-tried and re-read and re-tried, with the same results. I'm old and grouchy, especially with the wife being ill and this kind of stuff p***es me o**. I just want things to work right, the way it says it's suppose to work. And Oh yeah I tried it in P,S,A and M. In the custom setting menu I set it at AE bracketing. (Auto bracketing set) Then I went to the monitor menu and scrolled to BKT menu item and set it at AE1.0 and hit OK. So should work right. I tried it with RAW on and off. I prefer raw for this. ISO 200 shutter 1/125 at f7.1 Do you need any more info? Thanks, Jack
