Im the proud new owner of a Nikon D5100 and while testing out all the different picture settings I noticed that my "Set Picture Control" option is grey'd out and I cant change it. Any ideas on why I cant change this?

This is off the top of my head and I don't know your camera very well but I believe you might have to be on "auto" setting in order to use Picture Control.

Excellent. this worked. I have a D5100 and I had to be in M, A, S or P mode for SET PICTURE CONTROL to not be greyed out. Thanks!

Paul, if you want to set Picture Control in M, A, S, and/or P modes, please be aware you need to set each one individually. Doing it once will only work for the specific mode you are in at the time you set it.

Enjoy your Nikon D5100. :)
