Help...What did I do?!

So, I have a 5100 (obviously). I have 2 DX kit zoom lenses (18-55 and 55-200). A few months ago I got an FX 50mm 1.8 prime to see if that made a difference in photo quality. It has. I've been wanting to upgrade to full frame for some time now, but haven't decided which one yet, so I wanted to get some good glass so I'll be ready when I finally make up my mind on which full frame body I want. In the meantime, I just dropped $1900 on the FX 24-70mm f/2.8 AF-S. I ordered it online, so I don't have it yet. I'm in a slight panic because that's A LOT of $$ to me & I've never even used that lens before. I hope I made a good decision. Does anyone else have this lens?.....or can anyone just tell me that everything's gonna be okay? lol :concern:

I do a lot of pet photography. I'm a big time animal lover (& work at an emergency veterinary hospital), so I really enjoy photographing pets. It's not a money-making career, so I won't tell you how long it took me to save up for this purchase. ;)

If you had $1900 to throw down on a lens, why did you not just get an FX camera to begin with. That way you would not have any buyers remorse and you can justify the purchase on a new camera.

The Tamron 24 -70mm f/2.8 gets as good if not better ratings in reviews plus it has VR.
Its also a lot cheaper. Just saying.

Either way they are both top rate lenses.
