Just bought a d5100

Hi from the d3100 lounge...

Just bought a used d5100 body for a cracking price as I was hitting a few limitations with the d3100. First impressions are very favourable, many more custom settings, faster, better LCD and seems so much sharper with the 35mm prime

Anyhow, just wanted to say hi really so uh, hi!

My D5100 is my very first DSLR. I've owned it for 2-1/2 years now and still love it. There always seems to be something new to explore. My only regret is not having more time to use it! I know you'll enjoy yours too.

I am the same as Sandpatch. First venture into DSLR is with a D5100 but I only got mine in October last year so lots of learning still but a great camera

As promised heres a shot I took over the weekend with the 35mm 1.8 DX lens...

This one I was playing with DOF, shot at F2.2, ISO 250, 1/3200th..



I have another I want to upload but everything on my mac shows it in portrait (correct) but when I upload it here it rotates to landscape! Any ideas why?
