Focus points with MF lenses

Please help.

I have a D5100 and am using a Nikon 180mm f/2.8.

I can only get a single focus point and want to have multi focus points. I don't know if this is possible.

I can shoot f/11 or f/16 to bring more of the pic into focus.

Nothing in the manual. I have searched the Internet with no success.

I can have the whole pic in focus if I shoot at f/11 or f/16 but would like multiple focus points at f/2.8. I don't think I can do it but maybe someone can advise if it possible.

I assume from the title of your post that you are shooting in manual focus mode. If that is the case you will only have a single focus point but you can choose which focus point to use. Multiple focus points when doing MF would serve no purpose. You can only focus at one camera to subject distance at a time.
