if u look at the picture i have the dual fogs going on and it kills my pictures how can i avoid having this issue again? its happened to a few of my pictures that i get the refelections i hate it lol..
Probably not. Direct light like that will reflect off the lens front onto the back of the filter. I'm all for protection, but in low light I find filters, even expensive ones, create problems with light reflection.
Unless your lens is a blast from the past, the multi-coating and other layers of witchery besides stronger glass these days make that a thing of the past. Kinda nice having one as a backup (to losing the only lens cap) or as an extra when buying used gear.
Guess I'll know that if something looks a tad funny, I'll ditch those as well and re-take the shot. Only reason I keep those filters on is not to lose em/one serves as temp cap with the help of the hood, lol.
Usually you see this kind of double reflections if you have a filter over the lens. Have you tried taking it off and see if that fixes the problem? I am guessing it will.
Funny thing, I've never noticed that effect on my 18-70 because the outermost lens glass sits right next to any filter used, but on my 50mm f/2 where the outermost element is considerably far away from any filter, I saw that kind of glare.
