Nikon 3200 + AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm VR
I think something is wrong with the focusing mechanism / sensor of my camera.
In the manual mode (M) and autofocus set to single point my camera (AF-S + metring single point) does not focus when I select any one of four points (focus points ) on the right side of the centre point. The autofocus part of the lens moves forward and backwards (focus hunting) and tries to focus but can't.
When I select the center point ( using the multi selector)or the other points to the left (focus points) the camera focuses and beeps.
When I select auto area focus mode camera has great difficulty focusing.
I reset the camera and tested several times with the same results (VR on ;focus on A). It's 2 years that I have this camera and I never noticed this behaviour before.
Is it a hardware or setting issue? All help is appreciated
