Help with Tokina and old canon lens to go with d3100

The Canon won't fit and there is no adapter that can make it work with the Nikon system (the distance from the lens mount to the sensor plane is different). For the Tokina, does it actually fit into the camera? If not, it's probably a Tokina that was made to fit the Canon and won't fit on the Nikon. The value of these I have no idea about. Check on ebay to see how much they are going for.
