Hi, I have just purchased a Captur remote control & flash trigger. I have set it up and synchronised the units but nothing is happening. It is obviously Nikon compatible.Do I need to change any settings on the camera for this to work.
Thanks

I thought you resolved the issue based on your response in the other thread. Did you get it to work at that time?

He knows what the remote is used for... What he wants to know is Exactly what isn't working and exactly what are YOU doing that doesn't seem to work...

If it is the one pictured in the video, it states the flash must be used in manual mode, not TTL. How are you setting your flash? Or aren't you using a flash?

Well I guess that is me firmly put in my place ;-). I have followed the instructions in the pamphlet. I have watched the video on YouTube and when all the corresponding lights are flashing, I am trying to take a shot by using the remote. Nothing is happening. I have also tried to change the setting on the camera to remote, Again, nothing is happening. Thank you for your time, i really appreciate it.

EURIKA.........Please don't ask me what I was doing wrong as I am unable to answer you. I have just decided to give it one last shot. I simply attached the receiver to the hot shoe and plugged in the lead. Switched on all the components and bang, it worked. I know that I must appear to bee possibly the dumbest person on here but I really do appreciate your help. Cindy.........I might try it with the flash now, Ha ha. Thanks everyone. Hopefully I won't bug you again with silly questions and hopefully one day, I can help you out.

If you didn't change any settings, it's possible the connection to the camera wasn't quite tight or snug enough. Just make sure you are using the correct cable (as I have no idea what ones come with your remote). Glad it works for you! Now you will need to post some pics taken with it - when you are ready. ;)

It isn't silly at all.
Some of the remote stuff can get kind of tricky, but I think people tend to forget to check the easiest things. I work with diagnostic equipment, the first 2 things I look at are the plugs and integrity of the cords. "It would help if the patch cord was plugged in all the way."

"Is it turned on?" is also a reasonable question. "Upon inspection, the rocker switch was in the middle, not in the on position." Yes, that has happened to me.

Welcome to Nikonites.
