Buying a used Nikon D300s

I could buy Nikon D300s for around 450 USD with about 100,000 shutter so I wonder what is the average maximum shutter on this model and whether it is a good model for semi - professional?

I think the life stated for these is 150,000. You might get less, you might get more. I'd suggest this one is pretty well used, and i'd personally look for something with a lot less actuation's. Is it good for a semi professional? I suppose its dependent on what you shoot, there are probably better DX bodies out there now for a little bit more, but the D300S was built like a tank in comparison

Thank you very much for your comment ...
How much does a replacement trigger on this model and whether it can be done only in the official service ?

If it were me, I also would look for one with much lower actuations(25k or less). Also if you don't need video, the the D300 is just as good a model as the D300s, but less cost! :)
The D300 is a great camera, and it's the only pro DX model, so it's a true high quality build for sure! I have two D300 Nikon's and no complaints! :)
If your a simi-pro and your clients want higher MPs a D7100 might be more what your looking for in a DX, and others can help you better for info on that model! :)

Here is one example from a D300. :)

@Bill16 is right. You can get a nice used D300 for around 400 dollars with 10-20,000 clicks. If you really need video, then for a few hundred dollars more then a used D300s , you might as well pick up a refurbed D7100.

Thank you for your comment , whether it is the only difference between the D300 and D300s that the D300s supports video recording ? And what about the D7000 ? What is the difference between the D300s and D7000 ?

No problem at all, that's what we're here for! Do I take it this D300 also requires repair? Um, unless it comes with a great warranty, i'd walk away personally, if it needs repairing, what else is suddenly gonna fail. I have no idea what the costings are for replacement triggers, but by the time you've repaired it, you may as well have gone for one in better condition.

The D300s supports video and has an extra memory card slot, otherwise it's the same as the D300.
The D7000 is a whole different model and I have no experience with it personally.

A D300S with over 100k actuations? Walk away! Especially for that asking price! He's ripping you off. Look for something around 10-25k actuations for that price point. And yes, the D300 IS a professional grade DX camera, as decreed by Nikon.

Note: I shoot with a D200 and a D300, and I would NEVER get rid of either one of them, they're that good! IMHO, multi megapixels and video are unnecessary in a still picture camera.

Fotojack is right. Walk away from that one. Too many clicks on it. And unless you plan on shooting a lot of video, I would go for the D300 as you can get it much cheaper. It is a professional grade camera and is still listed as one of the top professional models in 2014. It's a monster of a machine. I've been using it for about 3 years and it works great in low light as I shoot a lot of bands in clubs.

P.S. - Fotojack, you finally got a D300???
