NAS is kicking in. I was going to wait some more months for a next camera, but might want to do an offer on a D3s, now that it is on the market.
I believe what I need to do more in my style of photography is some better ISO performance and even if that is not that difficult starting from a D7000, I would only want to put money the best: D3s, Df, Sony A7s kind of thing (not wanting to put down the amount needed for a D4 or D4s).
My feeling was against the D3s, since it is too heavy for what I want. On the other hand why not have a professional grade machine for special occasions?
So this one is still offered above what I want to give at the moment (but less then a Df or A7s), it is a pro seller. The actual pictures are included and the body shows low usage marks.
I see it as a possibility since it has a shutter count of over 300 000, so I would argue that I need to replace the shutter soon and thus offer quite lower then the asking price.
If you do not try you do not get .... (I do believe the state is already calculated in the asking price, but nobody seems to want to give that price).
Is there any experience with high shutter counts on D3s bodies? I seem to have read people that did 475 000 before having to replace some parts.
I can imagine this one comes from pro shooters changing at 300 000 just not to risk to loose out on a shoot.
P.S.: I was planning to wait for a price drop in A7s when the video people got better options (fast moving market it seems) and then a D750 in a few years. I changed that with a D3s and an other FF mirrorless if I could get them at a low price. I did decide on the mirrorless full frame for my old lenses to use with an adapter, still hoping for Nikon to announce one on CP+ with a Nikon 1 mount.
