I have been off the forums for a while...
Anyway. I found a brick and mortar that had a new Coolpix P900 and I bought it. I wanted either a bridge camera or a D3300 to carry around with me while hiking. The D610 and D750 get really heavy after a while.
So here are a couple test shots first day I had the camera. The Old Mill Stacks are located across from where I work.
First shot is slightly zoomed in... probably at 24-30mm. The second is full zoom at 2000mm at the stack with the flag pole with a slight digital zoom added.
What I found I don't like is the quality of print over 8X10 I will have to figure out how to make prints a little better and less grainy.
What I like is the flexibility I have with this camera. It virtually can be used in any situation that has enough light.
If one uses a tripod, which is highly recommended at 2000mm , and you have a gimble head, you might get a BIF really close up. But it will take some practice and some missed shots.
One might get in trouble with this camera on a weekend at the public beach.. but you have to show restraint. Otherwise, its a keeper. I will have to get a d3300 or d5500 another day.
My full frames sit on shelf for now.
