Watermark

I wanna get a standard watermark for my pictures (mostly because I got a facebook site, and people tend to forget to share, and just copy the pictures) - but in photoshop I think text gets so .. not sharp :/ I tried giving the text a little drop shadow and inner glow, in big it works good but when in small, it still looks a little blurry.

Then I tried to make a brush with my watermark and I love how easy it is - but, its the same, it does not look sharp!

How do you guys and girls get yours so sharp?

I to mine in Lightroom as well. If you want sharp then you need to either create your brush text extremely big and size down, or use a vector image created from your text.

Shop is just fine IMO. Make it the right size for most of your pics and it should be just fine.

Shop as in PS? Im not happy with it.

2 examples (just a quick logo, not done with it)

I made it 1000 px, but when I make it smaller, it gets blurry. I want it crystal clear. Dont know that vector image, will have to read up.

What you can do is to create a watermark in photoshop as a separate file. You know how to combine that file as a layer to your photo already but that takes time to do to each photo. Google how to create an "Action" in photoshop. Once you do this you can then click one button and the watermark will be on your picture. It is pretty easy once you do it once.

I use an action for my watermark and a script for the frame and data on the photos I put here on the forum.

I think I figured it out. Insert the watermark in the big picture, resize for websites, maybe sharpen the layer with watermark a bit. Looks better now - I'm using it through brushes.

Now set "record action" and do it. When you finish stop recording. Then the next time all you do it play action and it all happens automatically. You can have as many actions as you want. For those things we do to every picture this is a great way to automate it and save time for the good stuff.

I really need to design one too. I am not good at that. I would love to be able to just click on it in photoshop and it would be the same each time.

Maybe upload a couple of ideas here? Getting new eyes on it.

I'm not sure mine is done, somehow I would rather have my full facebook adress on the pictures, so people easily can find me. But thats not pretty...

I'm struggling with watermarks too. Post processing is a necessary evil for me. Miss the old days when I'd stamp the back of an 8x10 print with my copywrite info. Life was easier back then. :p

Yes perhaps I should. Maybe if time allows I can do so this weekend.
