Forgive my ignorance, but can someone tell me what this is?
It is a great set of tools for post processing that actually works with many processing programs. This link:

will give you an idea of what is included.
@Dangerspouse. That plugin collection was pricey when it was introduced. I mostly use the noise reduction and sharpening. Now and then I use the Silver Efex for black and white conversion.
....
ADDENDUM: Well, that was a bust. I have the newer Affinity on my computer. I don't think they are compatible. All of the files are there, but it shuts the program down. Whah Whah.
I did a full re-install, and it was a no-go. Something squirrely with the folders going on. I just did another install, and will see what happens.you definitely need to reinstall it (for registry entries, integration with PS/LR, etc). i have the old version install but it is for Windows not Mac.
If push comes to shove, you could try saving the file you're working on and then try to open it with the Nik module you wanted to use it with and see if it runs. Or to put it simply try it as a stand alone program. If it does work, then you could use it this way until you find a better solution to cut the time and save steps.
The last, free, non-DxO version of NIK, v1.2.11, is not being updated. If your using the old nik will it have any updates or did support stop for it ?
You can right click on the file you want to open and then select "open with" and choose the Nik module you want. If your Nik folder is in your applications folder, it should work.I don't know how to make it work as a stand-alone, but I managed to get it installed a few minutes ago. I am hoping the update-nag has been bypassed this time. I will find out soon enough.
Thanks
