Making a photo that can't be right clicked and saved.

Can someone explain how this is done?
Right-clicking and using "Save as" is one way someone who wants to could copy a digital image posted online, but there are many others. Some sites will disable right-clicking but only the site administrator can do that. I'm not one to steal images but the harsh reality is this: If you post an image online, and I want it badly enough, I can get it. Period.

Right clicking can be disabled depending on the website but it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to prevent a photo from being saved, even if the resolution is not the best............

See what I mean? If you depress the Shift key and PrtSc key you can take a screen shot and edit and save in PS or other graphics program. And if the original owner has copyright information in the EXIF it will usually be lost, or it can be removed with a simple program called Opanda EXIF. Welcome to the #*&$%* internet! I have threatened legal action against 3 people for stolen images. All three pulled the image when I told them that I had the original negative or slide for the image and would produce it in court.

Get into your settings<my settings<general settings<download disabled set to yes. This will prevent people from right clicking and downloading your images. But they could still make a screen copy but the quality wouldn't be good enough for printing and it takes more steps to do it.
The settings button is on the right top corner in the black forum border.

There are chrome browser plugins to get around the disabled right click. It's that simple, one extra click and its unlocked for saving. Disabling right click is mostly a reminder to respect your image.

This.

And it is on a website that I am the administrator on. The owner of the business would like me to do this to their photos (that I took).

I have thought about doing this to my own pictures merely for the reminder to not steal.

I was hoping for a processing function or code to embed.

There is nothing you can do to the image itself, its in the coding of the website. Even if you have access to the website at the design level, it seems like it would be a project to code in that function. You can google how to disable right click for code tips. Given that it is so ineffective, it might be better to just keep the photos low res and maybe a gentle watermark and explain to the owner.

If the site is Wordpress there are plugins that will take care of this for you. I am sure there are other CMS programs that offer plugins that will do the same

Thanks for the replies.
I agree about the watermark but this site happens to be WordPress, I'll look for a plug in to please the owner.
