Help needed with Nikon 4000 ED scanner to PC connection

I have a Nikon 4000 ED scanner for some years. My problem is the 6 pin firewire cable has a small 4 pin connector on the other end.

Is there some way I can connect the scanner to my Asus laptop? The scanner is still good if I can get it connected.

That's a Firewire device... you either need a Mac computer to use it directly with a Firewire port, or you need an interface card for a Windows PC. The cards are about $11 on Amazon...
