View NX 2 issues

All of a sudden when I import pics this program stops working. I have no trouble with existing files. I have updated to the latest version, any ideas?

Its always done it with me on occasion,it definitely does not like files from my Samsung but that's a different story

I use it just for import but have had no problems. I use it with Windows 8.1. What OS are you using it with?

I'm using vista, haven't had any problems for the last 3 years

You're still using Vista??? Oh I'm so sorry, Rick! Have you thought of jumping to Win 7 at all?

If I unistall the program are the pictures still in windows?

??? What?? Don't understand the question!

All of my pictures are in windows viewer but show up in view NX also, so if I unistall view NX and re-install will I lose anything?

So I ended up uninstalling view NX and re-installing the new version from The Nikon website. It is working fine now. I think mine was corrupt. It appears to just be a management program as all of my pics were still there .

I personally don't care for any software Nikon makes,way to cumbersome at best,why not use Lightroom it is way better at everything ........
