Just got my new 32 GB sd card in, funny it formats to 401 shots in the D800 while the sandisk formats up 399 shots. I did put the camera on continuous high and fired off 20 or so shots, between the buffer and the card it did a pretty good job keeping up.

I just formatted in the camera, didn't look at them on the computer, maybe I should take a look, you got me curious now.

I noticed that, too. I think it may be due to the card being a FAT 32 instead of an NTFS format. I wonder if I should swap it over or leave it FAT 32?
You are stuck with Fat32 Dave
Cameras will not accept NTFS cards..
