Looks great Raymie. If I was to critique for you, I do some motorsport too

Try to get lower down, the more background you can add to the shot the more speed it will bring in. Not always possible when shooting from the stands or it you are on a bit of a bowl with the track beneath you.

When on panning shots try playing with the shutter speed, the lower you can make it and pan at the same time as the riders the more blur you will add to the image which helps with speed, here is a shot to show you what I mean

Thanx Daz... I couldnt get any lower coz of a fence, :-( And as for panning... it's not that easy when they're whizzing past you at 120 - 140 mph :-\
Thanks for the tips though Daz.

Great pictures Raymie, I like the way the bike colours stand out from the background, for me it makes them a bit more of a focal point!

Great shots, Raymie. I wish I could get a chance to photograph some motorcycle racing.

As for the whole pan at slower shutter speed thing, I think it's a great effect, but doesn't need to be done all the time, as some people do. I've used it sparingly with bicycle racing, and people who are looking for pictures of themselves usually prefer the frozen action shots. In the end, it's a matter of personal preference.

For what it's worth, my favorite of these is the 4th shot on the first post.

    Thanks for posting these!

Cheers Mork, I use a great wee proggy called "Snapseed"... All I do is sharpen a touch and up the drama a wee bit, seems to do the trick.
