I am interested in finding out what everyone keeps their camera lenses and equipment in to transport in the car or go to a location with to shoot. I need something that will hold a Tamron 150-600mm, Nikon 70-200VR, Tamron 24-70mm some flashes and other accessories.
Possible a camera body also. What do you use or recommend? Hopefully at a price that won't break me.

I use the Lowepro Flipside 300... large enough for my D300s with a 70-200, flash, and other lens and equip.

I would use my tamrac expedition 5 I think, since the expedition 8x might be more than I'd need for what you mentioned. They both are awesome backpacks, but they are a bit spendy in comparison to the lowpro line that is also good from all I've heard here! :)

Endless amount of bags. truthfully, best way to go about it is contact lowepro, think tank, tamrac and tell them the gear you have and have them suggest the bags that fit your criteria. then go online, see pics and reviews

I myself use my old but love it to death, lowepro photo trekker aw and I use a lowepro nova 4 for my 6 flashes and slaves/clamps and batteries. just make sure they have replacement zipper warranty. I just recently dropped off a photo trekker AW II and computrekker AW bag for zipper repair and its free of charge for the life of the bag.

I've had a LowePro shoulder bag for over 30 years a, and bought a ThinkTank Streetwalker Pro earlier this year. While both are good bags, I regret not purchasing a rolling bag now that I've used both of them every night this last week.

I'm not a backpack guy, I have a large bag for home storage and on location shooting. I also have a Thinktank belt/holster system for Hiking or anything on the move. My large bag is the Tamrac Pro 12, very large and everything is easily accessible, see this link:

I use a lowepro vertex AW300 backpack. I can put my D7100 with Tamron 150-600 attached in plus the D800 with 70-200 2.8 attached plus 24-120, 16-35, 105 and 50 mm. I could fit SB910 s also.

Basically it holds more than I can pick up :). I took this pack from the uk to the usa and it fits in planes (just) as carry on.

I also have the lowepro 11x26 for the Tamron which is a snug fit.

I use the Pelican 1610 with padded dividers. It accommodates all of my gadgets. It is heavy but it provides great protection to your equipment. Price may or may not break you. Pelican 1510 might be too small for your lenses.

Glenn,

I looked at those a while back, and was a bit concerned with the pull-out handle. What do you think of the handle?

They actually gets the job done. Both of my cases are being used to transport and store all of my equipment. If weight is not an issue, I would use them to go to locations. Once you are done, you can use them as a chair or something.

I started out with a Domke F-2 and now have a Domke J-2. Highly recommend them. Checkout your local camera store to see it in person. I bought both bags off Amazon.com.

I use the Error

My wife and I travel via car a lot that this holds our D7000 with the 19-200 lens and the D7100 with the 70-300, 11-16, 18-140 and the SB700 along with filters, batteries and bug wipes.

The handle it very interesting since it is a sold wide plate. It has to e unlocked to use so it does not pop out when you don't want it. Works great for carrying it into hotels etc.

I own the Tamrac Pro 12, too. It holds a lot of gear. Mine holds all my extra lenses/bodies as I use it solely for storage and take a smaller bag while out shooting. If you go with some type of camera bag, you might want to also look at a portable dolly if the bag doesn't have its own wheels. I've seen photographers who use dollys while transporting heavy gear.

You seem to have just about the same equipment that I will have and need a bag for. Would it be possible to take a picture of the open bag with the equipment in it and post it so I can see how well it fits?
