Out and about for only the second time with my new Tokina 11-20mm f/1.8 (on a D5300) and accidentally discovered beautiful, somewhat 'sparkly' bokeh in the background of a couple of shots of flowers on trees, in Kew Gardens, London. I wasn't expecting this result but I like it!
Especially on the cow parsley (white flowers) shot, I actaully quite like the even greater complexity this brings to a photo with a really shallow depth of field. The eye keeps moving around trying to make sense of it.

Well done! I too have a 5300 and strongly consider this lens. Especially after seeing your results. Oh, you might want to fix the initial post: This lens is no where near f/1.8 ! You should change that "1" into a "2". - Sadly
