Thanks! I've been sporadic, at best, around here lately so this thread gets buried until I bring it back to life. Should be picking up soon, just got some lights and umbrellas and have 20 days to figure out what the heck I'm doing with 'em. There's going to be a semi-family reunion the day after my son's wedding, and I was 'volunteered' to take photos of everyone. Guess they think if you can shoot a flower, you can shoot a person. 'tiz not the case though.

Here's the first one I tried. I knew the background I used would not be optimal, actually I knew it shouldn't be used at all as it's a big movie screen, talk about flash bouncing around, but hey... it's the best I have while I figure out which type of background I want to buy. Also getting a model to use for more than 5 minutes is awful around this place!

So, not a bad first portrait session, but I can do so much better. I know I can!

I was having fun watching you work your way through the thread. At first I got back on here and thought, 35 Likes? Geezus! But it was all you.. LOL Glad you had fun!

Have I done 12 photos yet this year?

Second wedding this year. This one I wasn't actively involved with.
First, I borrowed a video camera from my FIL. It's an extremely nice camera. If it was still 1973.
HA! Well, I did what I could. Here's the preview.

Now, on to the photos.

I haven't had cake like this in weeks! 4 to be exact.

I did like the fountain, but after taking these, I took about 50 photos before I realized I left my camera on manual focus. Ack!

It's almost a reality! After N[SUP]th[/SUP] number of design iterations, it is done.



But that's not what we're really here for...

It's almost our anniversary again! That mean's it's Rock on the Range time again! Time to get all practiced up!

I am completely satisfied with the Sigma! I did send it in to get repaired a few months ago. That was my fault.. Dropped it. Ugh.

Good as new now though! It just keeps on giving! The original plan was to have more lenses by now, but the winery had other plans with my money.
