Pretty cool spot today. I was out shooting some flowers in the nursery for our database and a monarch landed just in front of me. I tried to get of a shot with its wings spread, but it kept flapping. I shifted to the side and saw that it had been tagged. I managed one quick pic before it went on its way. I called the number (the National Wildlife Registry) and gave a pleasant young lady my info and the tag number. She did not have details, but did say it had been tagged at the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve near Angangueo, Mexico.
