Just got a 28-300 VRII for my D700. This is the first shot I took with it. I think I'm gonna love this lens.

Our afternoon was far from clear. There was a thin haze of clouds on the horizon. I tried setting up on one of the overlooks in the shennandoah mtns, but things were just as bad. Needless to say, there was only one picture I was even remotely satisfied with, and that's stretching it.

OK, here's my best shot. Unfortunately, a haze was surrounding the mountain top so Saturday's pictures were a waste of time. This one was from Thursday night.

Wish I had that 55 - 300 but that's a long way off.

I'm jealous ... I want a new lens. I took this one with my 18-55mm and of course cropped down. Nowhere near as fantastic as all of yours.

And I took this one this morning and cropped it a bit.

The moon looked so gorgeous in the sky this morning that I decided to take a few pics with different settings and this was my favorite.

got this last night while I was downtown (Baltimore) with my photo class, we were taking shots of the domino sugars sign and got a nice treat when the moon started rising.
