I've developed an affinity for this little flower. I found it at the local botanical gardens but have no idea what it is. The plant itself is small and scrawny but the buds are fascinating. They are about the size of a pencil eraser but their structure is just beautiful.

Here's a Trumpet Flower canopy!! My tree had a massive explosion earlier this year and at night the smell of all these flowers was almost too much to handle!

Just as good as ever even though it was 32 degrees this morning

These two plants have one thing in common...they still grow around the house. They both still live despite the fact that the house burned down 24 years ago and cooked everything, then there was excavation and another house. Lo and behold up they come. The first is a hops vine that grew up the side of the house. The second is really just a stem of seeds from one of the many rhubarb plants that wouldn't die.
