I almost posted this in the "post your almost" photos thread. It is almost in focus, but I don't often get a shot of a bird with a kill so I posted it here.
I'm slowly getting used to them so having them framed is no longer the problem. Having them in focus is. If I'm lucky out of 20 shots I have one or two that I can use. That is if I don't try to get too close.
I shoot d21 or d51 and only when I have a clear sky in the background. If there is anything else in the background or I shoot less focus points, my hit rate is depressingly low.
Looks like this Osprey is still hanging around. I shot this same one last week and she is still hanging out by the nest. Can't see any of the young ones though.
