I don't have one with the electrical stuff in it. I do have a TC-14B though but that wouldn't get me an answer. As you can tell, I am trying hard to rationalize this purchase.

My serial number is OK. The recall states: Firmware in lenses with a serial number of 2008365 or higher have already been updated. Mine begins with 600. First 3 numbers (or more) on US lenses must be different. No way they've made millions of these already

I don't think you will have to worry about purchasing for a while though as everyone is sold out . or has jacked the price up $600 over retail ! WTF !
