@Krs_2007
To steal a line, actually a book title, from Dr. Seuss, "Oh, The Places You'll Go!"
From the knowledge shared by Krs_2007 a while ago, and shooting a small tournament, I was hired to shoot two wrestlers competing in the Utah State Wrestling Tournament tomorrow and the next day. Which has since evolved into requests to shoot other wrestlers. In this day and age people do occasionally recognize the quality work produced with the right tools. In other words - NOT USING A CELL PHONE OR IPAD to capture your child wrestling. I've just finished packing up my gear, charging batteries, and collecting enough memory cards to play a game of checkers. Which leaves just one thing, actually two.
Second, the appreciation of this forum. There is so much information and knowledge shared that would be difficult to assemble without this valuable resource.
First, thank you Krs_2007 for sharing your insight and experience shooting wrestling. Like many of us on here, we can figure it out on our own. But when we want that insight to make a task that much easier, like Krs_2007, there are plenty of great fellow photographers more than willing to share the knowledge and or experience they have.
With that said, thank you forum and Kevin (secretly in hiding as Krs-2007, but we don't mention his real identity).
For new people on this forum, regardless of experience level, you won't find a better group of photographers. And always follow the natural ratio of listen twice as much as you speak. There is a reason for two ears and only one mouth. Nothing alienates faster than to ask a question and then tell all the people trying to help how they're wrong. Makes others wonder why you asked in the first place.
Off to bed here pretty quick as it will be a very long two days of shooting.
Thank you everyone.
George
