Well I have wanted to start a thread for a while, I hope the post here will be educational to me (all comments welcome, even "what were you thinking" )

I have really enjoyed looking through the other threads here, and all over the site (I feel I miss a lot when I get busy) I have learned so much from this sites members. My aim here is to post work, help others, learn, and to those interested learn more about me.

My current quest is to improve in post processing, Affinity Photo 2 is my main tool, I am trying to learn learn Darktable (too cheap for PS lightroom).

To start the thread here are some of my favorites from 2023:

Using Affinity, sometimes I have more of a personal challenge to get the look I'm going for. I like to see what the camera is thinking (I consider it much smarter than me) using NX Studio as a baseline. Getting proficient with my editor (Affinity) is a personal goal.
