Mars -v- Earth ?

I was looking at the photographs being transmitted back earth from the Mars Curiosity Rover and was fascinated to realize a very important thing. I had been there, Mars that is, before the lander! Then in a moment of sanity I remembered, no it wasn't Mars it was ...... take a look at this >>>>>>>>>>

The photo on the left, Mars obviously. The one on the right, near Derna , Libya. Can anyone tell the difference? It was hot, dirty and rather lonely at the time.

Well maybe Curiosity is not really on Mars but in Libya instead? Just like the moon landing which also happened in North Africa. LOL

Oh noooo.... I sat up all night to watch the landings on TV and IBM told me they were real! :crushed::crushed:

About twenty years ago I met with my 104 year old Aunt who sat in her chair right below a picture of JFK. She told me about how she came to Oklahoma in a covered wagon and how she remembered the teepees that indians would set up by the rivers. I commented about the JFK picture and she said that she loved Kennedy and that he was the best president we ever had. Then she said "You know about that moon landing and stuff?" "Well that didn't happen. We can't fly to moon give me a break." LOL

That is absolutely incorrect!!!! IT was all done in Hollywood.
