I think I'll back up go with the rug idea as close enough. It is a carpet which very well could be indistinguishable from a rug.

It's definitely something you have most likely seen before. I cropped the right side out because it probably would have given it away.

HINT: These come in many shapes, sizes, and colors. Its main purpose is to provide protection.
