Can't complain too much about just one thread going missing. I know of one site where a forum upgrade last year wiped out every photo posted in the previous 8 years.

yikes! similar thing happened to an aviation forum i frequent. Needless to say, for some reason, many members did not come back because of the lengthy down time.
