Hello. I have a Nikon 5100. I am looking to purchase a new lens, the 18-300 but it is quite expensive. Is there a big difference in purchasing a Nikon or another one like a Tameron.? Which is the best I should get for my 5100?

You'll get a lot more responses if you post in the forum section. I like my Nikon 18-300 f/5.6, but it is really an overpriced lens. The Tamron 16-300 has gotten some good reviews, and it is certainly cheaper! I have no direct experience with that lens, though.
