I keep looking at this thread and then forgetting to upload anything. These are all with the Nikkor 70-200 VRII. The Heron is actually with the TC-20e III teleconvertor which I have now sold and replaced with the Tamron 150-600.

Where's this one? Closest I can think of is Summit, but I don't remember if they had a drag strip...

There are two drag strips closer to D.C. than Summit which are Capital Raceway located in Crofton, Maryland and there is Maryland International Raceway located in Mechanicsville, Maryland.

Here's another one with the nikon 70-200 2.8VR, I had to crop it a little but it gave me a useable image from the 15th row in the upper deck at Yankees Stadium

This one was taken with my Tamron 70-200 f2.8. The old one without the VC. Exif data should be intact.

It seems to me I get better pictures with a fast shutter speed.

Jak: was the Jeter photo taken just prior to & as he prepared for his last at bat at Yankee Stadium? I love the picture - as a photo enthusiast, a Jeter admirer, and a 6 decade long Yankee fan from the Bronx.
