1. It's a full-frame 600mm, with VR and AF, within your budget.
2. Burns calories.
3. You'll be the envy of everyone else.
4. Gets rid of ticks and fleas.

The little nifty fifty is a great lens, it is cheap, produces great photos, fast, light weight, and small enough to not take up much room in your bag.
That is what you call winning!

I'll take my 105mm prime over my 50mm any day. All depends on what you shoot.
