  • That is correct. I love that I am so familiar with the camera without ever using it before hand. Really the big difference is going to be its ability to shoot better in low light situations over the D300s. Keep in mind that you will have to use FX lenses also. I already had a few Tamrons that are FX compatible so I didn't have to buy any new lenses.

    I notice you have both the D300S and D700. I have the D300s and gave my back up camera to my son, with the intention of purchasing the update for the D90. With the anouncement of the D7000, I am not to impressed. Thinking now of going for the D700 instead. If I understand the advertising for the D700, it is basicallly the D300 with a larger FX sensor. Am I correct?
