Decided to take the leap back into Nikon, not a single XQD card in Central NY! On it's way from BH, lots to learn in the meantime!

Glad to see you made your decision, Rick. Looking forward to some amazing images from you - especially the heavy equipment shots!

Congrats! think you will be very pleased. I am one to read the manual and find a good 3rd party handbook. I like David Busch's book.

Look forward to seeing some photos as you start playing with the Z7. That 50 is nice. I use mine a lot at church.

Holiday price on the Z7 has me on the fence. I've yet to hold one in my hand and that's probably the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger. I have to believe if they did this price once it'll happen again.

Welcome back, Rick.

Welcome back, Rick.

Thank you Jake.

That's what pushed me over the edge, to me it's a perfect size coming from m34, amazing they squeezed an fx sensor in a small solid package. Now that I'm used to it it feels perfect. At 2699, it's at a fair price. I thought about waiting for the next rumored mirrorless, but by the time it hits the market another year will pass before its discounted; probably a 3 year wait in total.

A bit painful waiting for native glass, but I will probably grab the new 500mm when they are available, you seem to be getting great results with that. That would also pair well with the rumored 30-32mp Dx Z when it comes out. Sometimes its nice to start from scratch, I tend to make smarter lens decisions.
