Z7 Problems

I have a Z7. The live view will not come on. I have replaced the battery, removed the rubber eyecup, turned on and off several times. Worked last night but not when I need it, this morning. Open to all suggestions.

The button on the side of the viewfinder cycles through the different options for back screen on/off viewfinder on/off. It gets me every few months.

That's exactly what happened. Didn't even know it was there.
Its very useful for those long days you want to squeeze every bit of juice out of your batteries, just turn both the screens off. FWIW, the viewfinder screen uses more battery life than the screen on the back of the camera, but I've never really had an issue with the battery life except while taking a lot of videos.

Took mine on a trade, didn't get a manual. I will have one soon tho.

You can download the manual (the reference manual and two other guides) for free as .pdf files from NikonUSA.com.

I dislike navigating through long .pdf files to look things up and prefer a hard copy. The ones I found were pricey, so, on the advice of Cindy, I bought Darrell Young's book on mastering the Z6II/Z7II... highly recommended.

I have found that just about every feature has the "?" which does a good job explaining what that particular option does. It's like having the manual built into the camera.

This is true, but the original problem as I read it was there was nothing displaying on the back. ;) I imagine the help screen might have displayed.
