    These look to be great performing lenses.....

    ...and I know this is petty, but.....

    I think the Z lens lineup looks SO CHEAP. All of them. I really hate the design aesthetic that Nikon went with. Maybe it's just me, but they look like cheap Tamron or Vivitar lenses from the early 90's.

    They look like they would shatter into pieces if you bumped them. Sorry for the negative vibe....just my personal viewpoint.

    Appears to a case of love or hate. I do like the minimalist appearance but really prefer metal. The new plastics have fewer issues. I found the F mount Gold band to be a bit dated and tacky.

    I feel like Nikon hit their high mark with this style....so many years ago.

    I also like:




    All the newer designs just don't look right to me lol. Guess I am old.

    I canít wait to get the new S lenses, but theyíre so boring to look at. They knew back then what a good looking lens was.
