Isn't it the ISO button and the rear wheel, Fred? Or did Nikon change it? The ISO button and the front wheel used to enable/disable Auto-ISO.

I’m not sure Cindy that they changed anything. The manual says “Main Command dial”… I may have reversed them…

Hold button… spin front/back dial and either the ISO changes or the setting changes from fixed ISO to Auto ISO…

There should also be a Menu setting that allows you to select between Auto-ISO and a fixed ISO as well as lower and upper limits for the Auto ISO function..

If you can’t find how to do something in a manual, there’s probably a YouTube video dedicated to the exact function you want to change/alter/learn about…

Sharon Anderson, The iso button is on top. You can press it and rotate the smaller dial on the front of th camera 1 click to turn on or off Auto ISO. Press and hold the button and adjust the command dial on thbac of your camera under your thumb to adjust ISO.

Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy your Z6. I am loving mine. I have had it a few months and just enjoy using it.

Back, main command dial, adjusts iso. Front dial turns iso on and off. Iso button is on top.

I’ve got the z 24-70 f4 s lens and I’ve assigned ... using the custom menu f2/ custom control assignment/ Lens control ring
..to ISO sensitivity.

1. I find this really useful, but 2 needs practice as it’s very easy to forget and alter the iso accidentally

One more thing. Control f6 Release button to use dial.
if you’re uncomfortable rotating the dials while holding the button, then set this control to Yes (no is the default). With Yes, you press and release the button, rotate the dial, then press the button again.
I find it easier occasionally to do this, so I’ve put it into MY MENU
