Pulled the Trigger on The Z 6 Today

Well, after a lot of consideration, reading and video watching I pulled the trigger today on a Z 6 with the 24-70 f4 and FTZ adapter. Given what I enjoy shooting the most it made sense to me to take the plunge. I love the D700 and I am not sure I will be able to let it go, but I wanted to upgrade. I considered the 750 but decided to go mirrorless. I am excited to get started with the new camera.

Sounds like a great choice, Danno. Your D700 still has life left in it so keep it and use it when necessary. The D750 is a phenomenal body, but you are going with the latest tech rather than one that's been around for a while. Looking forward to seeing your upcoming photos with it!

Ohhh, can't wait to see the images. I will probably go with mirrorless if I decide to change cameras.

Thanks, Cindy, I will probably keep the 700 for a while. I really do like it a lot. If I let it go I will likely do like was done for me and sell it to a friend at a great price that wants to move to full frame. There are a couple of folks that come to mind at church.

I have a number of lenses I accumulated. Nikon 14-24 2.8, Tamron 70-200 2.8 G2 and a Nikon 200-500 f5.6 are the main ones I will be using. I think the 200-500 will still spend most of its time on the C7200

Thanks Mike, I think I am going to really enjoy this camera on the landscapes, architecture, car shows, old barns, and the occasional family photo or class photos. The birds and such will take some practice. So will the softball games my niece pitches... but that is half the fun.

Thanks @Roy1961 @Dawg Pics and @Andy W . I anxiously await the FedEx truck. I look forward to playing with the new toy.
