Finally upgraded from D7000

Finally had a chance today to visit my favorite camera store; it's a good 2-hour trip from home so it's not like I can just run there whenever. Spent a lot of time working with the salesperson and ended up walking out with a Z6ii kit and some accessories. Had also considered potential for a possibly finding a good used 7100,7200 or maybe a full frame but there wasn't anything in the used section that seemed like a good deal; and I also decided that the money towards an old camera would be better spent on newer technology. Salesperson let me try the display Z6ii. It felt really different from the D7000 but I liked it; and the basic pics I took. Looking forward to playing with it. Will either keep my D7000 as a back-up or maybe give it to my daughter if she is interested.

Gee, it took you long enough. Your were thinking about upgrading your D7000 back in 06/01/2021. Hope you will be happy with the new Z6ii!

I've always had a tendency to take extra time on decisions like this. I want to avoid any buyer's regret because when I walk into the store I'm coming out with something! :D

Hi Camera Fun, Glad you upgraded your D7000 to Z6ii, which is also the one I want to upgrade my D3500 to (hopefully in late this month). So you got a new kit (bundle) with some Z lens? Would like to know the detail of your acquisition and see some of the new photos you shoot with the z6ii soon. You lucky guy!

From what I've heard it is as sharp as the 2.8 at a fraction of the cost. There are a few extra bells and whistles, but nothing that would make much of a difference to me. The extra stop of speed would be nice. Probably makes AF a little quicker, and a little nicer image in the viewfinder in low light. Still, the lens alone would be far more than what I paid for the Z5 and the F4 combined. They are both S series lenses.

Welcome aboard, enjoy the ride. We look forward to seeing more posts and samples of your work with your new camera.

OH! By the way! Will I get 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 posting credits for this listing? I have no idea and will have to wait and see! I will give up on posting any more my posting credits since I have yet to find any solutions.
